"The homily has special importance due to its eucharistic context: it surpasses all forms of catechesis as the supreme moment in the dialogue between God and his people which lead up to sacramental communion." - Pope Francis, Evangelii Gaudium, 137

In his recent apostolic exhortation, Pope Francis dedicates time to discuss the issue on homiletics.  As a topic that affects many clergy men and parishioners, the Office of Continuing of Priests offers a weekly program for priests and deacons of the Diocese of San Bernardino and the Diocese of San Diego on the preparation of the homily.
